The First Morning

Cormburskan grumbled and sat up. He thought back to yesterday... oh yeah. They had taken someone new into their home... A girl named Brit... She had helped Eps yesterday when she needed repairs. And they offered her the chance to stay there... Oh what was he thinking! Letting an odd stranger into the house! She’d probably use it to her advantage! Or... something.... he was still thinking on that. Though he didn’t remember falling asleep on his bed. He jumped up and slowly moved out of his room.

Something felt... odd. He couldn’t put this finger on it. He shrugged it off and walked down stairs. Only to spot Red, standing at the base.

“Red...? Vhy zhe hell are you just stand-!” He grumbled before he froze, spotting what Red had just witnessed. Instead of the usual mess of a house, it was... rather spotless. There wasn’t much rubble, and they could actually see the floor. The two males looked to each other confused. They moved into the living room; which was also clean. The walls had been scrubbed down and everything was neat. They then heard a soft snoring. Red approached the sofa and looked, to spot the young blonde girl curled up on the sofa. He reached out and pushed her, causing the girl to fall off the bed. ... She didn’t get up... still snoring softly.

Red looked at Cormburskan. Cormburskan looked at Red. Green eyes then fluttered open and the girl sat up and yawned.

“...Oh... I fell asleep after all...” She grumbled and stretched. She looked about and spotted the Luxian and the Scientist.

“...Mornin’!” She grinned sleepily. “...” She then noticed the odd stare.

“...Was it because i cleaned the house? I couldn’t sleep! So i had to keep myself busy and i cleaned the downstairs... kitchen, living room... though i did leave the lab alone... don’t worry...” She explained and questioned. She looked rather panicked.

Cormburskan sighed and just patted the girl. “Just varn me next time...”

Brit gave a small smile. “So... Breakfast?” She offered and moved to the kitchen. “...I sorta did some cooking too... i’m probably hyper... the excitement of a new friend...” She muttered and moved off.

“...She’s pretty interesting Doc...” Red grumbled.

“...I’d say so, Red...” Cormburskan replied.
